Can you paint a plastic tablecloth?

I would like a polkadot table cloth for a part I am having but can not find one in the right colors. I was wondering if I could paint polkadots on the tablecloth. If so what type of paint should I use?Can you paint a plastic tablecloth?
I have used fabric paint. The kind you get to design your own t-shirts, from a craft store. It is flexible so it wont crack when you lay out the table cloth. Can you paint a plastic tablecloth?
Tempera paint. Make sure to use a stencil. It might bead a little. It will depend on the table cloth. Don't get water in the brush, or it will cause it to bead.

Dries fast, cleans up easily and is non-toxic. You can buy it at Wal-Mart or OfficeMax.

The first link is a brief history, the second is product info.

But if the paint isn't working, use stickers. You can go into the scrap booking/craft aisle and get funky shapes and colors along with polkadots. There are a lot of stickers that aren't ugly or fragile.
Have you considered buying round stickers in the colors you want?

Business supply stores likes staples or office depot have all kinds in a lot of sizes.

Paint could chip or peel and IS poisonous so having paint around food is not a good idea to me. Good luck.
Use Contacpaper cut into circles. It won't be too permanent, but will be flexible and wipe off well. No paint will adhere without cracking..
oil base paint is harder to clean up but usually gives a longer lasting appearance and better results.
Don't use oil based paint because it will peel off after a little while. Use water based paint.
YOU SURE CAN
