If you are not able to hand letter it you can go to a local sign shop and ask for one of two things. One, vinyl lettering can be cut in countless styles and sizes and colors and you can just apply it for a permanent and cleanable graphic. Two if you want to use paint: ask the sign shop to cut you a vinyl painting mask. It is a masking tape like material reverse cut like a stencil. Apply it on the chair , rub it down and paint in the letters. when you are done peal off the masking and there you go!
