Pull the shift key off and use a q-tip to clean the crud out from underneath it. They make a special paint for dashboards and other interior pieces. Go to www.jcwhitney.com.Do i need special paint for something plastic?
Go to the automotive paint store and they will actually try and get the exact color you need. Take the vin number and complete discription of the car. Drive it their... They also have small bottles to put the paint in for spray application..You will also need cleaning and prep stuff..

New keyboards are about $20...

Quite a few auto parts/paint stores carry a line of flexible vinyl paints in a spray can called SEM brand.I use them for interior plastic trim parts or anything flexible. At a few bucks for a can it's well worth it.
You need special primer for the plastic. This will allow regular acrylic paint to stick. Now, if these plastic parts are flexible, then you need something like bumper paint that remains flexible when it's dry.
