Is there a way to change the lid color of a Dell Inspiron 1545? Paint? Buy a new outer plastic lid?

I bought this laptop recently and I do not prefer a pink laptop considering I am a male so I was wondering if there is a way to either just change the actual plastic of the lid or take the plastic off and sand then paint it. If so, could somebody include detailed instructions or a link to somewhere?

Method one.

Method two.





take apart the computer, remove all the components that are attached to the plastic parts you want to paint, and bring those parts to a car body shop and have them paint the parts the colors you want. Sure, it will cost you, but it will look great, and you get to pick from metal-flake colors.








Method three.





Search Ebay for a replacement lid.
