How to remove poster paint and lacquer from a plastic figurine?

I had the guts to try re-painting a Bleach scale model of Ichigo (plastic figurine).

I used poster paint for the first layer, then covered some parts with lacquer to shine it a bit.

The result? It looks a little sticky. I'd like some advice on how to remove both the lacquer and the poster paint underneath. Oh, and maybe some tips on what paint to use instead.

...yes I was stupid. How to remove poster paint and lacquer from a plastic figurine?
Most hobby shops carry plastic safe model paint stripper. We carry Chameleon stripper in our store. To find your local hobby store go to www.coolhobbyshops.com. To learn more about Chameleon products go to www.chameleonproductsonline.com.

You may want to try the Tamiya line of model paint. Local modelers around here are reporting excellent results. Again it should be available at your local hobby shop.
