Is it possible to paint a plastic laundry basket?

I want to spray paint it a metallic color. Would it work if I used some sort of primer?

thank youIs it possible to paint a plastic laundry basket?
Krylon makes a series of spray paint called Fusion which is specifically made for plastic. Is it possible to paint a plastic laundry basket?
I have used Krylon Fusion paints, as described by Conqui above. They work pretty well.

.
anything's possible
They do have some paint that is made especially for painting plastic. As to whether or not they have any in metallics.... I don't know. You'll have to find out at the store.
The best way would be to scuff the whole basket with a scuff sanding pad from a hardware store, you just need to take the shiny surface off to a dull finish or matte finish. Then you can use any spray krylon paint or automotive paint you want, after the primer coat.
I THINK YOU CAN. TRY ONE SPRAY COAT OF NON-METALLIC COLOR THAT IS NEAR THE METALLIC COLOR. GRAY FOR SILVER, BROWN FOR COPPER ETC
yea you need special kinds of paint though
just spray paint it with regular spray paint!
Yes I've done it loads of times - However you don't need primer - plastic does not need protection and paint sticks to it well
