Would Semi-Gloss be the best spray paint for paint plastic parts on a car?

I am re-painting my lip in the front of my honda, its black but fading, would semi-gloss duplicolor be my best bet?Would Semi-Gloss be the best spray paint for paint plastic parts on a car?
If you want to do it right, you will need to lightly sand the existing paint to slightly roughen the surface, to give the paint something to adhere to.

First thoroughly clean the area, and dry completely. Then use a very fine sandpaper to lightly roughen the surface. Next, use a spray primer designed for cars, but look on the label to be sure it is ok to use on plastic. The important thing is that it has a flex agent in the mixture, because plastic flexes slightly whereas metal does not, and the paint needs to be able to flex slightly as well, without fracturing the surface and causing peeling or chipping.

I would use an automotive grade spray paint, rather than a craft store type paint, as it is designed to resist UV fading, and should hold up to the weather better. When it is completely cured, give it a couple days for this, use a lint free towel to be sure the newly painted surface is completely dry, then spray it with a clear protective coating.Would Semi-Gloss be the best spray paint for paint plastic parts on a car?
It really depends on what kind of look you want. Semi-gloss or satin black would be the closest to stock, but some people prefer it to be color coded to the car a painted a contrasting color. The choice is really yours to make.
You can use the Krylon Fusion paint, it is specifically made for plastics, but I usually sand the piece down first with a fine sandpaper like 1000 grit and then use a plastic adhesion spray first and use Duplicolor Truck and SUV paint, can get and any auto parts store or at Wal-mart. This combination seams to work the best. As for semi-gloss is probably your best bet for the OEM look. It all depends on what you like. If it isn't what you like sand off with a fine sandpaper and paint with something else.
There is special spray paint made for plastic. Beats me as to what it is but I have seen it.

Why are you repainting your lip? And why is your lip black?
