Is there any way to take oil based paint off of plastic?

I got a little over excited with some oil based spray paint near my car and now it looks real bad.Is there any way to take oil based paint off of plastic?
Well, before you use anything, test it in a discreet area first.

Try nail polish remover first, it should work on most paints, if not, places like Pep Boys sell grafitti remover, that should do it.Is there any way to take oil based paint off of plastic?
The answer is NO, Paint will not come off of most plastic materials, especially if they have already been treated with colours.

If the paint does not peel when you try to lift it up then leave it alone and do not use nail polish remover!

If it is on your car then I would not attempt to do anything myself if i were you.

Take it to an Automotive shop and see if they can touch up the paint with the proper colour match for you. It should not be too big of a deal. You can even buy the colour match to your vehicle in most Automotive paint shops, an example here is Canadian Tire.
